The Mannix Cabin was hand-built by Arthur Mannix, a well-known local climber, and it still has the character only a hand-built cabin gets. Inside you'll find mountaineering books and Alaska-climbing decor, a nod to the man who built it. The queen bed is tucked up in a cozy loft you reach by ladder, with a futon down below.
Meet Mannix:
Sleeps up to 3: a queen bed in the loft plus a full-size futon in the living room
Lofted bedroom reached by ladder, with sloped ceilings
True dry cabin: kitchenette with electric burners, fridge, and a gravity water jug; no bathroom inside
Two shared bathrooms with heated floors, a few steps away in the bathhouse
Fast Wi-Fi, books and games, Dead Hopper coffee, Alaskan drinking water
Two blocks to Main Street; two free parking spaces; self check-in
